Josh Jackson Author

A Pacific Northwest writer

I’m now listed on the Oregon Authors Project!

I’m happy to announce that I’m now listed on the Oregon Library Association’s Oregon Authors Project!

This is part of the all-important process of spreading the word. A website, good. Blog, yes. Listed on Goodreads, excellent. Noted as an Oregon-based author, great!

It’s tough to get noticed these days. So focusing on local helps narrow down the criteria for “noticing” an author. Statewide, I’m only one of many writers, but not everyone writes in the same genre.

And that’s the good part of being listed on the OAP. They let you list the genres you specialize in, and that helps set one apart from the sea of writers across Oregon.

So far my first books were outdoors-themed, and since I love the outdoors the most, naturally I’m listed as an Outdoors and Travel author:

… Outdoors & Travel

I’ll write anything, however, but I do intend to write about the outdoors in the future.

And they will feature me on the homepage when I publish my next, another bonus. Thanks so much, Oregon Library Association!

And what of my next? I’ll just say that it does feature a character from the Pacific Northwest outdoors. I expect it to publish no later than summer 2025. Stay tuned!
